Point of Care

SimpliRED D-dimer whole blood agglutination is perfectly suited to the point of care setting. The test can be done on either a venous sample or a finger prick sample and everything else required for this two minute assay is included in the kit. Test reagent, negative control, positive control, agglutination trays and stirrers are all provided

Used in conjunction with a pre test clinical probability score, D-dimer testing plays an important role in triage and management of patients presenting with a query VTE. In an emergency room environment the SimpliRED D-dimer assay achieves high Negative Predictive Value (NPV) and this gives the user the confidence to safely rule out VTE.

Studies have shown that in an ER environment or a primary care clinical setting the SimpliRED D-dimer assay can achieve Negative Predictive Values equivalent to any other D-dimer assay on the market. The clinically proven sensitivity gives the user the confidence to safely rule out VTE. (reference)

The robust methodology of SimpliRED D-dimer allows a wide range of healthcare and laboratory professionals to provide a rapid and economical VTE screening service, improving patient management and outcomes.
